The house has been the ancestral seat of the Spencer family for over 500 years and is perhaps most famous for being the childhood home of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Althorp House is set in a beautiful estate with extensive gardens and parkland. Visitors can explore the grounds, which include a lake, a walled garden, and a number of walking trails.
There is a cafe in the garden, as well as free-roaming peacocks and other small animals, making the environment very beautiful. Behind it is a lake with a memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales on the lakeside. Diana rests on a small island in the centre of the lake.
There is also a cat here, I don’t know if it’s still around or not, but it used to follow people around and was very friendly.
